Thursday, September 3, 2009 - the same project team left Saclapea, Nimba County for Harper, Maryland County and on this date held a three-hour meeting that attracted major stakeholders including local government officials, civil society groups, religious leaders, UNMIL Officers and youth groups etc. The meeting focused on the relevance of the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS0 and it importance as a catalyst for minimizing corruption and national resource abuse.

Friday, August 28, 2009- a team comprising the Executive Director, Thomas Doe Nah, George E bba, Zeowheh Saywrayne Sarnyenneh Dickson and Daniel Zorh  left Monrovia for outreach visits to Nimba and Maryland counties. The team stop in Saclapea , Nimba County and held a sensitization on the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS) at the civil compound on Saturday, August 29, 2009. The three hour interactive meeting brought together major stakeholders from civil society, student leadership, the media, local officials etc. The meeting was intended to inform local cummunitiesl residents on the curbing corruption and other governance defect in Liberia.

Saturday, August 22, 2009 - four-person team including the Executive Director, Thomas Doe Nah, George Ebba,  Zeowheh Saywrayne and Sarnyenneh Dickson visited Tubman burg, Bomi County to hold a town hall meeting with citizens in that area. The meeting was an interactive discussion with participants on the promotion of the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS). The team returned to Monrovia on the same day as Tubmanburg is not far from Monrovia.

Tuesday, August 4 - 8, 2009 - CENTAL received Keith Henderson, USAID Anti-corruption consultant to the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC). Keith who works under the aegis of USAID GEMAP consultant IBI indicated that he was interested in knowing what CENTAL does and how the organization could leverage its local expertise and understanding of corruption issues to contribute to the strenghtening of the LACC. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Mardea James of IBI.
Friday, August 7, 2009 - CENTAL held a media and civil society awareness meeting on the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS) at the Corina Hotel on Tubman Boulevard.  The meeting brought together editors and representatives from media houses and civil society organizations. The Chairman of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), Cllr. Frances Johnson-Morris and the Chairman of the House of Representative committee on Governance, Hon. Dusty Wolokolie were also in attendance.
Saturday, August 1, 2009 - PCA team comprising George Ebba and Zeowheh Sawyreny departed Buchanan, Grand Bassa County for Kakata, Margibi County to meet with county officials and people in impoverished communities.
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 - Three-person team including the Executive Director, George Ebba and Zeowheh Sawyreny visited Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. The meeting was a two prong visit that allowed interaction with the iClub in Buchanan as they participate in the implementation of the two projects - the Poverty and Corruption in Africa (PCA) and the "Right to Know." The Executive Director returned to Monrovia on Friday, July 31, while George and Zeowheh stayed to further discuss with the iClubs and people that live in poverty.
Friday, July 18, 2009 - CENTAL held community meeting to discuss the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS) in Paynesville/Congo Town. The meeting was attended by Hon. Edwin Snowe, Representative of District # 5. Also present was the Commissioner of Congo Town and elders from communities in the township.
Friday, July 15, 2009 - CENTAL held its Board of Directors meeting and in attendance were all seven members of the Board - Sr. Mary Laurene Browne, OSF (Chairperson); Prof. D. Ansu Sonii (Co-Chairperson); James A. Thompson (Member); Cllr. T. Negbalee Warner, (Member); Mr. John B. S. Davies, (Member) and Cllr. Betty Lamin-Blamo (Member) and Mr. Thomas Doe Nah, (Executive Director and Secretary to the Board). The meeting focused on review of the operations of 2008 and the first half of 2009. The members discussed financial and administrative future of the organization and the way forward in dealing with CENTAL member of the Transparency International global coalition.
Friday, July 11, 2009 - CENTAL held community meeting to discuss the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS) in Gardnersville. The meeting was attended by Hon. Dave Koomey, Representative of District # 8. Also present was the Commissioner of Gardnersville and elders from communities in the township.
Saturday, July 4, 2009 - CENTAL held community meeting to discuss the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS) in New Kru Town. The meeting was attended by Hon. Edward Forh, Representative of District # 12. Also present was the Governor of the Borrough of New Kru Town and elders from communities in the Borrough.

Friday, June 9, 2009 - .Trust Africa made a transfer to CENTAL in the amount of US$37,460.00  for the project on “Right to Know Campaign” Broadening Citizen’s Knowledge and Participation in Governance
Promoting the National Anti- Corruption Strategy
. The project covers Montserado, Nimba, Bong, Grand Bassa counties. The goal is to create alternative sources for citizens to access information about corruption while at the same time gaining useful knowledge that would allow them to advocate and monitor projects in their communities to determine compliance with sound transparency and accountability practices.   .
Friday, June 6 - 13, 2009 - CENTAL Executive Director travelled to the US to attended a workshop at the World Bank Institute on "Fighting Corruption Through Collective Action in the Market Place." The meeting was attended and lectured by governance practitioners from across the world. The meeting was very rewarding and CENTAL committed itself to collective action in its activities in Liberia.
Friday, June 5, 2009 - CENTAL recieved a transfer of US$8,000.00 from Transparency International for the implementation of the inception phase of the Poverty and Corruption in Africa (PCA) project. The goal is to prevent corruption that increases poverty and leads to unequal development. The project seeks to get the voices of the poor heard and public officials committed to sustaining the involvement of the poor in decision making.

Thursday, May 28, 2009 - CENTAL Executive Director attended a dinner hosted by the Omidyar Network/Trust Africa/Humanity United focused on what interventions would be adequate to ensure that the Liberia media contributes effectively to good governance. The dinner was attended by keep figures in the media, civil society and government.
Wednesday, May 27, 2009 - CENTAL Executive Director attended a meeting at the head office of the United Nations Mission in Liberia. The meeting discussed issues pertinent to the holding of general and local elections in 2011. The meeting was called by UNDP and chaired by the UN Secretary-General Special Representative to Liberia. In attendance were representatives of key local and international NGOs, political parties, government agencies and the National Elections Commission (NEC).

Saturday, May 23, 2009 - CENTAL dispatched a project implementation team including Sarnyenneh Dickson, Acting Program Manager; George Ebba, Media Director and Zeoweh Saywarny departed for Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County to establish an Integrity Club (iClub) with funding from Action Aid Liberia. The team is also expected to do advocacy on the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NAS) in Zwedru, Tappita and Ganta in Nimba County. The team will return to head office on Tuesday, June 2,
Friday, May 22, 2009 – CENTAL participated in a meeting at the World Bank local office that focused on greater transparency and rethinking the World Bank Disclosure Policy. CENTAL was represented by its Media Director George Ebba
Friday, May 22, 2009 – CENTAL signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC). The MOU was signed in the presence of Acting Chairman of the LACC, Joseph Akoi; Commissioners Osman Kanneh and Moulai Reeves, LACC Executive Director and CENTAL's Executive Director. The CENTAL ALAC Coordinator, Oneke Gooding-Freeman signed on behalf of CENTAL while the Programme Manager/Enforcement - Attorney Emmanuel A. Tulay signed for the LACC.
Thursday, May 21, 2009 – CENTAL Executive Director attended a meeting with Representatives of the European Union from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain, France and staff of the European Union. The meeting was focused on understanding civil society views on keys governance issues in Liberia.  According to the host, the meeting was in accordance with provisions of the Cotonou Agreement which sets out terms under which EU countries support to a country is given.
Tuesday, May 19, 2009 - OSIWA made a transfer to CENTAL in the amount of USD43,492.85 for the project on Promoting the National Anti- Corruption Strategy. CENTAL is implement this campaign in six counties - Bomi, Montserado, Grand Bassa, Nimba, Grand Gedeh, Maryland.
